Port Hedland is a designated RV Friendly town with a range of options for overland travellers.
RV Overflow Rest Stop
Located on McGregor Street Reserve, Port Hedland (adjacent to the Port Hedland Turf Club), this is a Short Term RV Overflow Area monitored by a caretaker appointed by the Town during peak season. This site is open to self-contained vehicles with on-board toilet, shower and ability to retain all waste within the confines of the vehicle. No pre-booking required, this site works on a first-in, best-dressed policy.
Port Hedland Golf Club
A five minute drive to the South Hedland Town Centre, the Port Hedland Golf Club offers limited powered & non-powered sites for a small fee. Pre-booking is required and can be done by calling the Golf Club on (08) 9172 2046, or emailing phgolfclub@bigpond.com.
