Friday 14 June / Sugar Blue Burlesque Drag Queen Cabaret Show

Kick off Pride Pilbara week with a dazzling show from Sugar Blue Burlesque, WA's premiere vintage dance performance and entertainment troupe. Discover a whole new world of glamour, hedonism, fantasy and sensuality during this performance and let it set the vibe for the rest of the week! 

You can be part of the Burlesque show by participating in the Introduction to Burlesque course, starting on 27 April.

 Sunday 16 June / South Hedland Pride Celebrations

Bring the family down to the South Hedland Town Square for a whole day and night of Pride Pilbara Festival activities, such as:

  • Pride Pilates in the Square, 8.30 - 9.30am

  • Rainbow Family Day from 10am (kids entertainment, stalls, face painting, FMG BBQ Trailer, dancers and Queens)

  • Rainbow Pride Walk around South Hedland Town Square with Autism Horses Australia from 11am

  • Rainbow Entertainment Night including live music, PHIRE twirling and more

Monday 17 June / Rainbow Paint & Sip with Red Couture

Paint & Sip, but make it Pride! Join Michelle Cooke from Red Couture for this fun-filled event at the Courthouse Gallery+Studio where you'll not only get to hang out with your friends, but also create an amazing piece of art to take home! Limited spots available - join the waitlist.

Tuesday 18 June / Dinner Under the Stars with Iluka's Hospitality

The ultimate feast for your senses, join chef Zach Green and his team for dinner under the stars at Marapikurrinya Park. The evening includes a 3 course meal with wine pairings, as well as Drag Queen performances and Karaogay! Limited seating available - join the waitlist for early bird ticket prices.

Wednesday 19 June / Drag Bingo

This was one of our most popular events last year, and this year's event is going to be even bigger and better! Join the fabulous Drag Queen Ayleesha Tryed at the Walkabout Hotel for a night of laughs, competition and live performances as you vie for the crown of this year's Pride Pilbara Bingo Queen! Lots of prizes to be won, so join the waitlist to be the first to get your tickets.

Thursday 20 June / Rainbow Storytime @ South Hedland Library

Storytime gets glam with our guest Drag Queen Storyteller! Bring your kids down for an interactive session focused on teaching respect and acceptance of everyone in our community. No booking required, simply turn up and enjoy!

Thursday 20 June / The Big Fact Hunt Drag Queen Trivia & Comedy Night

This was a sold out event last year, so we recommend getting your tickets early to avoid missing out! Join local Drag Queen Sarah Tonin & her friends at The Esplanade Hotel for a night of live performances, laughter and fabulous prizes. Join the waitlist to be the first in line for early bird tickets.

Friday 21 June / Pride Movie Night - "Kinky Boots"

There's nothing better than watching a movie under the stars, especially during Pilbara winter! Join us at Marapikurrinya Park for a free movie night in Portside. Ths year's feature film is Kinky Boots, based on the true story of a struggling shoe maker's successful partnership with Lola, a drag queen, to save his business. Getting glam is a must so get dressed in your best sequins, feathers and kinkiest boots for a fun night out!

Friday 21 June / Pride Sunset Food Markets

Before you head over to our Pride Movie Night, grab some dinner from local food vans at the Pride Sunset Food Markets from 5.30pm, hosted by the Town of Port Hedland. Located at Marapikurrinya Park, enjoy a beverage while watching the sunset, then walk over to the Courthouse Gallery+Studio Gardens for the movie.

Saturday 22 June / Wedge Street Pride Markets

Hosted by the Port Hedland Visitor Centre, the Wedge Street Market is being transformed into a rainbow-themed Pride Market! Featuring local small businesses from Port Hedland and the Pilbara, all market stallholders will sell rainbow-themed product to celebrate Pride Pilbara. From 8am to 12pm. Saturday 22 June / Rainbow Storytime @ the Visitor Centre

Keep the young ones entertained with this free Storytime session at 12pm with local drag queen Ayleesha Tryed! Everyone is encouraged to wear their most glam, glitteriest outfit for this fun and inclusive Storytime.

Saturday 22 June / Pride Parade

Cue the glitter and be part of the our Pride Parade! This year's Parade is bigger and better than 2023, expanding beyond Portside and throughout the wider West End of Port Hedland. There will be a live broadcast from Ngaarda Media Roebourne. We will also have floats, and if your business is interested in providing a truck for a float, please email us at phlags@outlook.com.

Saturday 22 June / Pride Dance Party & Show

End the week on a high and grab your tickets to the biggest and hottest dance party of 2024!  WA's best Drag Queens and dancers will be holding performances throughout the night, making this an evening you do not want to miss. This year's theme is 'glitter' so bring out your most glam outfits - remember the more sequins the better! Join the waitlist to get early bird tickets before everyone else.
